Make sure you DO NOT upgrade the plugin Next Gen Gallery by Photocratti because it conflicts with, and crashes the Home Page Liquid Slider. WordPress plugins can sometimes conflict because of Javascript display order, double calls of jQuery, or plain old general coding conflicts.
