The 16th Annual Buddhist Festival in Portland

A fun, free, and informative event celebrating Everyday Mindfulness

Saturday, June 1st, 2019, Colonel Summers Park, 11:00am to 4:30pm

This popular family friendly event is the perfect opportunity explore the many traditions of Buddhism in Portland while wandering the park including Pure Land, Zen, Vajrayana, Vipassana, and non-sectarian groups. Discover what each offers and their upcoming events at their booths, meet new people and see old friends. The Kids’ Canopy will be busy with stories, crafts, play, and fun. This is a good event for children.

In the covered pavilion, Buddhist teachers will give short talks throughout the day. People are welcome to ask questions and interact with the teachers.

The Festival is looking for volunteers to help with the festivities. Roles range from playing in Kids’ Area, photography, to helping with set up and take down, and many opportunities in between.
