Regional Buddhist Teachers Gathering April 9
Regional Buddhist Teachers Gathering
April 9, 2022
Sponsored by the Northwest Dharma Association
NWDA has been holding regional gatherings of Buddhist teachers and leaders for more than 15 years. On April 9th we held an online teachers meeting followed by a live-streamed panel discussion.
Teachers meeting
11:00 to 1:00pm Pacific time
The purpose of the gathering is for Buddhist teachers and leaders to get to know one another, to share their skills and expertise, and to discuss areas of mutual interest. This is not an event for students or the public, but for Buddhist teachers as peers. The meeting is open to Buddhist monastics and teachers from Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska.
Live-streamed panel discussion (open to the public via Zoom)
2:00 to 4:00pm Pacific time
Teachers from various traditions will respond to the question “What does 21st century Northwest Buddhism look like?”
This panel discussion will be publicly live-streamed via Zoom. Panelists include:
Irene Goto, Seattle Betsuin Buddhist Temple
Anita Feng, Blue Heron Zen Community
Kosho Finch, Henjyoji Shingon Buddhist Temple
The two-hour video of the panel discussion is posted on our YouTube channel here.
