Dharma School for kids and teens at Dharma Rain Zen Center

 

September-May, alternating Sunday mornings

Ages 3-18

 

Through stories and songs, art projects and games, discussions and ritual, children in our Dharma School are offered opportunities to deepen their understanding of themselves, the teachings of Buddhism and the practice of the Dharma in their daily lives. The children learn to tackle the deeper questions of life, and have a good time doing it.

 

We also offer a Parents’ Group for parents of Dharma School students, an opportunity to explore parenting as Zen Buddhist practice, and the possibilities of home practice. It meets concurrently with the children’s classes.

 

We don’t require that either the family or child identify as Buddhist.  We do ask that children and parents are interested in Buddhism and are willing to participate fully.
