Many of us live with conditions that persist—chronic pain, illness, disability, neurodivergence, aging bodies. The Buddha taught the Four Foundations of Mindfulness as the direct path to freedom, inviting us into wise relationship with our actual embodied experience, not an idealized version of it.
Over four online sessions, we’ll practice with the Four Foundations—Body, Feeling Tone, Mind, and the Hindrances as one of the Dhammas—as companions for persistent conditions. Drawing on my experience as a person who stutters, an invisible disability often misunderstood as something to overcome, we’ll explore how these teachings support liberation through meeting what persists with wisdom and compassion.
