Palchen Study Group Seattle
Description
We are a Tibetan Buddhist practice group within the Terchen Barway Dorje lineage under the spiritual guidance of Venerable Bardor Tulku Rinpoche, the spiritual head of Kunzang Palchen Ling in Red Hook, New York. We reflect Kunzang Palchen Ling’s non-sectarian mission and respect all religious traditions.
Bardor Rinpoche has a close connection with the Northwest, having taught here for the past two decades. Palchen (“Great Splendor”) Study Group Seattle was founded in 2015 with Rinpoche’s blessings.
Bardor Tulku Rinpoche was recognized by His Holiness the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa as the third incarnation of Terchen Barway Dorje—the incarnation of Nupchen Sangye Yeshe — one of the 25 principle disciples of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava).
Bardor Rinpoche is founder and spiritual head of Kunzang Palchen Ling (KPL) in Red Hook, NY, and for 30 years was instrumental in establishing Karma Triyana Dharmachakra in Woodstock, NY. Rinpoche now dedicates his time working to establish Kunzang Palchen Ling for the benefit of all beings and students in the West.
Practice Schedule
3rd Sundays of Every Month (updated as of 11/13/15) – Email us to confirm.
Private Residence – Please email us for location details.
We practice the Daily Guru Rinpoche Practice (The Continuing Combined Practice of the Vidyadhara Guru) and Tsok offerings. In this practice, which comes from the terma tradition of Terchen Barway Dorje, one visualizes oneself as Guru Rinpoche, cultivating pure view and boundless love and compassion for all beings. We include a tsok or feast offering in our monthly practice, which is considered to be one of the most profound method of accumulating merit and wisdom in accelerating our progress toward buddhahood.
