Nritya Mandala Mahavihara
Description
Nritya Mandala Mahavihara preserves and shares the spiritual, artistic, and cultural traditions of the indigenous people of the Kathmandu Valley.
Established in Portland, Oregon in 2009, our center holds the first Nepalese Buddhist temple in the West, performance and art-making spaces, and a library of old and new Buddhist texts.
We are also the home of Dance Mandal dedicated to the practice of Charya Nritya, dance as a spiritual discipline, a unique part of Nepalese Buddhist tradition.
Practice Schedule
Daily Ritual and Meditation
To keep the sanctity of the temple, a traditional ritual with meditation is performed daily –
Weekdays 8am to 9am,
Weekends 9am to 10am.
