Mindfulness Community of Puget Sound

Description

The Mindfulness Community of Puget Sound supports the Plum Village practice and tradition of mindfulness and Buddhist meditation, as exemplified by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and his lineage of many other Buddhist teachers.

We share and co-own Dharma Gate, our Seattle practice center, with Three Treasures Sangha, which practices in the Zen tradition of Robert Aitken Roshi.

MCPS practice opportunities are open to anyone with a sincere interest in mindfulness meditation practice and our tradition. If you are unfamiliar with Buddhist meditation, we encourage you to attend an Orientation in conjunction with your first visit. Off-schedule Orientation can often be arranged by calling DJ Lower at 206-329-5908.

All events are in English with limited chanting in Pali. Our retreats offer special children’s programs and we have a Family Sangha that meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 9:30 AM for a half day of mindfulness. The Seattle Practice Center is wheel chair accessible from the back parking area.
