We are practitioners who are grounded in different expressions of Buddhist and Christian faith, as well as individuals who claim multiple religious belonging or do not identify with any specific tradition or practice. Alley Smith (she/her) is an ordained Zen Chaplain, philosophy scholar, and researcher. She serves at a college and university. Alley is also a US military war veteran. She specializes in spiritual care, mortuary affairs, and as a funeral clergy/celebrant. She is deeply influenced by Pure Land Buddhism and the Vajrayana path. Alley has been a student of Shambhala and Zen since 1999. She is deeply influenced by Korean Zen & Japanese Shin/Pure Land Buddhism. She follows the teachings of Rev. Dr. Mark Unno, Rev. Dr. Taitetsu Unno, Rev. Dr. Ruben Habito, Master Cheng Yen, Zen Master Seung Sahn, and Ringu Tulku Rinpoche.
