About the lecture
Buddhism is practised at many different parts of the world by different people and in different culture. Are there any differences in what they believe and practice? Come explore and learn the different Buddhist traditions or Yanas where Lama Kunga Phuntsok will share his knowledge with you.
About the lecturer
Born and raised in India, Lama Kunga Phuntsok entered the Bir Sakya monastery at the age of 11 in 1993 to become a monk. Upon completion of his monastic training, Lama Kunga joined the Sakya College and studied Buddhist Philosophy there for four years. He subsequently resided at Sakya Tharpa Ling in Australia for two years as the resident lama. Upon completion of his assignment, he enrolled in the Sakya Institute of Vajrayana to study higher Tantric teachings where he completed four years of higher education. In 2016, Lama Kunga moved to Toronto where he currently resides.
