Description
The Mindfulness Community of Puget Sound supports the Plum Village practice and tradition of mindfulness and Buddhist meditation, as exemplified by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and his lineage of many other Buddhist teachers.
We share and co-own Dharma Gate, our Seattle practice center, with Three Treasures Sangha, which practices in the Zen tradition of Robert Aitken Roshi.
MCPS practice opportunities are open to anyone with a sincere interest in mindfulness meditation practice and our tradition. If you are unfamiliar with Buddhist meditation, we encourage you to take a look at our Newcomer Orientation page on our website or reach out to our membership coordinator at membership@mindfulnesspugetsound.org. You are always welcome to show up with a little extra time and introduce yourself. Come as you are.
All events are in English with limited chanting in Pali. The Practice Center, Dharma Gate, is wheel chair accessible from the back parking area. We practice strongly suggested masking practices.
Practice Schedule
Many of our practice opportunities are offered via Zoom, while our Monday night practice and Days of Mindfulness are offered both in person at the mindfulness center and on zoom.

Monday Evenings: 6:30 to 8:30PM, two periods of sitting each followed by a period of walking meditation for one hour, followed by a program led by various sangha members. Hybrid practice.
Thursday morning: 6:30 to 8:30AM. Sitting and walking meditation.
People of Color Group: 6:00 to 8:00PM on 1st and 3rd Sunday, for sitting and walking meditation and Dharma Sharing.
Days of Mindfulness: Days vary, check our upcoming events on our website.
