For over 30 years, the Northwest Dharma Association has worked to build support for Buddhist teachings, practice, and community in the Pacific Northwest.
Each year at this time, we ask for your help. Can you pledge $9 a month to assist us in supporting the dharma in the Pacific Northwest? This is an opportunity to practice generosity (dana), one of the primary ethical practices the Buddha taught.
The NWDA board has set the goal of establishing a regular revenue stream and a manageable administrative structure, so the next generation of Buddhist leaders can carry on the work.
Please join the Mahasangha Mala. These NWDA supporters have pledged a monthly, recurring gift of $9 per month or more. You can join them.
Another way to give is through your workplace. And, of course, we are very grateful for your one-time donations, which you can make here.
Our goal for this spring pledge drive is to raise $3,000. This means adding 15 new members to the 38 current members of the mahasangha mala, who donate regularly, or receiving more one-time donations.
It takes a lot of work and a little money to maintain the NWDA’s comprehensive website, to publish the Northwest Dharma News, and to sponsor regular events for the community.
In addition to our website, with information about the more-than-100 member groups throughout the Northwest, and a comprehensive calendar of events, we have published the Northwest Dharma News for over 30 years. We also sponsor activities throughout the region.
We have been able to do all this thanks to the gifts of many volunteers and donors over these years.
Please consider giving to this dharma work.
