Kate Forster
started meditating at the tender age of nine. She lives in Seattle and divides her time as a dialect coach, an instructor, and a technical editor. She loves being involved in the Northwest Dharma News. Kate currently practices with the Seattle Insight Meditation Society.
Koro Kaisan (Richard) Miles
is guiding teacher of the Open Gate Zendo in Olympia, WA, and is on the board of directors of the Northwest Dharma Association.
Alan Ness
lives in Seattle with his wife and children. He has a residential design practice called Ten Directions Design. He is a member of the Shambhala sangha, where he teaches and is a meditation instructor.
Timothy O'Brien
is executive director of the Northwest Dharma Association. He serves on the board of Seattle's Multifaith Works and guides the Path of Freedom Sangha.
Richard Torres
is a Masters in Divinity graduate of Naropa University and a long-time practitioner of both Tibetan and Zen styles of Buddhism. He is currently a chaplain at Oregon State Penitentiary and a guide and teacher for Native American and Buddhist communities around the country.
Julie Welch
lives in Seattle and is current president of the Northwest Dharma Association.
Kobai Scott Whitney
is guiding teacher of Plum Mountain Refuge in Hoquiam, WA. A former prison chaplain, he is particularly interested in post-prison work and recovery issues.
