Lama Dechen Yeshe Wangmo visted Bodhi House in Olympia, Washington in mid-November to offer an evening and full day of teaching on “Three Methods of Meditation” and “Connecting with Our Enlightened Nature.”
Yeshe Wangmo is a Nyingma teacher who has taught several times over the last ten years in Seattle, Olympia, and Bainbridge Island. She is the founder of Jnanasukha, dedicated to the His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche's "Dakini Heart Essence", a treasure-lineage from Yeshe Tsogyal.
In Tibetan Buddhism, Yeshe Tsogyal is recognized as a female buddha and as an emanation of Vajra Yogini who lived in the eighth century as the Lady Yeshe Tsogyal. The Nyingma tradition reveres her as the founding mother of Tibetan Buddhism as well as Tibet's foremost female master. The name Yeshe Tsogyal means Victorious Ocean of Primordial Wisdom.
With Dr. Gyurme Dorje, a London-based Tibetologist, Yeshe Wangmo will lead a three-week pilgrimage to the sacred sites of Yeshe Tsogyal in central, southern, and western Tibet in May-June, 2009.
