Generous Heart Sangha

  • A lay Soto Zen sitting group located on Bainbridge Island and online via Zoom where practitioners from other States and Countries are also practicing, meditating and studying together.

    Mark Lancaster has been practicing Soto Zen Meditation formally since 1988. He is an ordained Soto priest, registered with the Soto Zen Buddhist Association and received Dharma Transmission from Dairyu Michael Wenger at San Francisco Zen Center in 2006.  Mark's teaching focuses on the intersection of spiritual practice and daily life.

    We offer meditation or Zazen both  at the Bodhi Center on Bainbridge Island   and online virtual sittings.

    Online programs using Zoom:

    Monday through Friday morning from 7:30- 8:00 am we offer meditation on line. You can find how to join by clicking Generous Heart website zoom zendo link.

    Each month we offer an online  Sunday morning community sit (Zazenkai) and you can find out more about that program and how to take part by  clicking here. 

    Progams on Bainbridge Island at the Bodhi Center

    We  offer Wednesday morning meditation on Bainbridge Island at the Bodhi Center from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Learn more about coming to sit with us by clicking this link.
