Finding Cold Mountain: Puget Sound Zen Center Fall Retreat on Zoom

Online Event Only

START DATE: Thursday, October 15, 2020
END DATE: Sunday, October 18, 2020
TIME: 7:00 pm - 4:30 pm
ORGANIZATION: Puget Sound Zen Center
TEACHER: Koshin Cain

In the 9th century Hanshan left civilization and made his way to Cold Mountain, where he spent years wandering, meditating, and writing poems. On Cold Mountain he learned to lose himself and to be himself. We all have a Cold Mountain in us. How can we find it? How can it help us?

Abbot Koshin Cain will be our teacher for this retreat that is modeled on formal retreats in the Rinzai tradition which include seated and walking meditation, Qi Gong, chanting, dharma talks and optional interviews with the teacher.

The schedule for this online retreat is here. People are invited to participate as much or as little as they wish with the understanding that the more committed you are to doing a deep dive the more significant your experience will be.

Registration is online via our website here. Registration amounts are suggested. Members $25 a day. Non-members $30 a day. Please pay what you can. There is a separate unbounded DONATE button below the Buy Now registration button.

A Zoom link and password will be sent to each registrant. Our normal sitting schedule will be cancelled during the retreat.
