Dr. Bhutti graduated from the Tibetan Medical and Astro-science Institute in Dharamsala, India in 1972. She served as a chief physician at the Tibetan Medical and Astro-science Institute for 25 years. Before arriving in the US, Dr. Bhutti apprenticed with Dr. Tenzin Chodak, the Dalai Lama’s senior personal physician. She has recently settled in Boston, MA, USA.
The Tibetan Science of Healing – “Sopa Rig” in Tibetan – has been taught and practiced throughout Central Asia for at least 1100 years. Elements of Indian, Chinese and Greek medical traditions are integrated with Tibetan practices in a coherent and powerful system. Today it continues to be practiced in Tibet, India, Nepal, Bhutan and Mongolia and is spreading to North America and Europe. This free public talk and meet & greet is an excellent opportunity to learn more about this effective and natural method of improving physical and mental health.
