Join us for a Drala hike up high on Mt. Hood on the Pacific Crest Trail. We will start at Timberline Lodge and hike 2.2 miles to the edge of Zig Zag Canyon. Expect breathtaking views and late wildflowers. We’ll combine hiking with meditation while observing noble silence.
Hiking Difficulty: Moderate (high altitude)
Distance: 4.4 miles round trip
Elevation: 500 foot elevation gain
What to Bring: Hiking appropriate footwear, water, lunch, a hat, sunscreen, rain gear, gas money for the driver, and a kneeling pad or something else to sit on for occasional stops for sitting meditation. Hiking poles can be helpful.

Meeting Location: Portland Shambhala Center
Return Time: About 4:30 pm. Drive to the trailhead is about 1½ hours each way
